Marcia Gay Harden
Marcia Gay Harden, born on the 14th of August, 1959, in La Jolla (California), was the 3rd child in a family of five. Their mother, Beverly (Bushfield) is a housewife, while her dad, Thad Harold Harden, served a soldier. Her family moved frequently. As they travelled to Greece the family became more interested with theater and went to Athens performances. Harden was a student at American Universities in Europe and then came back to the US in 1983 to finish her studies at the University of Texas. She earned an MFA from NYU and began acting professionally. Even though she had appeared in a film as early as 1986, in the little-known The Imagemaker (1986), her first major role which was in conjunction with TV films, was an edgy femme fatale in her role in the Coen Brothers' cleverly offbeat homage to the gangster movie, Miller's Crossing (1990). Harden got a positive review for her performance in the movie, which was sexy and raunchy as Verna the seductive, trouble-making female. Harden was later cast in supporting roles. She was in Ava Gardner, a TV biopic on Frank Sinatra.
