Christina Haack was conceived in Anaheim, California. Her first employment was with the real estate business. She was introduced to Tarek Al Moussa, who was in the real estate industry. This couple enjoyed great prosperity until the 2008 stock market crash which resulted in a number of real estate investors and home flippers go bankrupt. Tarek El Moussa, Christina El Moussa, and Tarek El Moussa, lost nearly everything because of the 2008 market crash. They went from living in the cost of a house that was $6,000 per month to an apartment costing $700 a month. Their company, as well as the economy as a whole, gradually rebounded. HGTV and Rise to Fame Tarek enlisted his friend to aid in making an HGTV video audition in the year 2011. The tape featured Tarek as well as Christina who were working in tandem to turn the house.
