Anamaria Marina is a Romanian actress. She received the British Academy Television Award Best actress for her role in the Channel 4 film Sex Traffic. She is fluent in French, German and English. Her mother played the violin, and her father is professor of theater at one the most famous drama schools in Romania. She won the Best Female Actor Award for the Year 2000 in the Gala for Young Actors in Mangalia. She was also named"a European Shooting Star' by the European Film Promotion Board.
