Awkwafina Awkwafina, an American performer and actress, started by releasing a humorous rap track dealing with issues related to race and sexuality. Her fame grew into Hollywood after she released several rap songs. Nora Lum began her musical journey as a trumpet player. She was born in Forest Hills Queens, she was a child of Chinese immigrants as well as Korean immigrants. Jazz, classical and hip-hop studies began when she was in her teens. Following a focus on education, she earned the degree of journalist in college and a women's studies major. After graduation, her focus shift to music. Her track My Vag which was her response to Mickey Avalons My Dick, became a viral hit on the Internet and later appeared on her first LP Yellow Ranger. The other viral hit songs included queef song and the winking NYC Bitchecity tour. The last track was closely linked to Awkwafina's NYC travel guide, published in 2015. The resume of her included the musician and author. Now she was looking for a new career path in acting. Alongside early TV shows that included Girl Code and Tawk - she was in films Neighbors 2 Storks & Bad Rap. In the year 2018 she scored a number of notable roles that were a breakthrough, like Dude Ocean's 8 or Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she released her first film In Fina We Trust.
